WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GHE - Week of January 23 - 27
Parents of Students in Grades 3-7 should watch for Cross Country Skiing Permission Forms this week.
Parents of Students in Grades 4 and 7 will received a letter regarding this year's Foundation Skills Assessments.
January 23 Today is the third Whistler Ski Day 2012 Chinese New Year today! Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with some Chinese New Year books! We'll be starting a new reading incentive, "Get Fired Up For Reading" this week. After a student reads a book, they can write their name and grade on a "dragon scale". We'll fill the hallway dragon with scales and we'll do a prize draw near the end of the month. See posters in the library for more details.

Student placement at GHE is taken very seriously by our staff. Careful consideration of student academic ability, social emotional development, special learning and behavioural needs are made when assigning students to a particular class grouping.
